Meet Your $1 Millionaire Isabelle Bellinghausen
I’ve returned to this journey I started in 2020.
It’s time to become the one dollar millionaire.
This year, 2025, marks the midpoint of the journey I set out to take. So many events have taken place and I haven’t recorded any of them. Until today.
November 2025, the day before my birthday, brought another seizure into my life. I crashed directly into scaffolding, hurting no one and nothing, except my right foot. It fractured into many pieces and I’m currently wearing an AirBoot to walk.
I’m 33 and figuring out a new pace to life. It’s much slower than my previous incarnation. I used to be the woman on the go. Rushing here and there, moving endlessly.
Today the trip to the library for its book sale after work took me many days to plan.
I’m so grateful to be here on this planet. To experience the smallest and slowest moments you can have in a day.
The hustle and bustle is finished for the moment, as I transition into being a passenger and never a driver from this point on.
My goals are much simpler. I want to go to grad school for creative writing. To study the old stories and fairy tales and teach early childhood literacy.
I want to be the $1 Millionaire for several reasons. One, I want to prove small sustainable actions can create massive change for myself and others. Two, I want the freedom to choose how I spend my time and with whom. And three, I want to create more $1 millionaires who are free to live their lives as they wish.
From this moment on, I lay claim to the one dollar millionaire title as the first in a long line of folks who can follow me and my path. I can’t wait to hear all the stories and feelings of those who have lived lives different than my own. And to share mine in return.
I can’t wait to meet all one million of you in the next five years (or sooner).
Here’s to 2026.
